Journal pages I did yesterday at the library-5 and counting in about an hour...




I am PISSED right now at my webhost-Dreamhost. I checked my bank account statement and there's a pending transaction for $238 that I did not authorize. I check my email and I have an email from Dreamhost telling me that here's my bill for May 2008 AND they billed me TWICE $119.40 each time for "My Crazy Domain Insane" whatever that hell that means. This is a bill that isn't due until May. Who the hell gave them the authorization to go into MY bank account and take TWICE the amount of what isn't even due until MAY 2008?!?! OF course they don't have a phone number on their site and I am tapping my foot waiting their response. I am NOT set up for automatic payments. I NEVER set up ANYTHING for an automatic payment and yet when I finally can get into my account it says I am. ARGHHHHH. I know I am not the only one with this problem yet it is extremely frustrating.

WHAT THE FUCK???

I guess it's not just me! It's hitting every dreamhost client but this is INSANE! Don't sign up for automatic payments and ALWAYS check your bank account statements more then once a month "just in case"! Luckily I had the $ in the account or else I would have been hit not with one but TWO overdraft charges.

Trying to stay patient but letting this blog post be a warning to those of you that do transactions online! You never know what will happen!

***Update: Dreamhost has fixed it. What irks me is that this is the second time something like this has happened where someone had the ability to go into YOUR bank account and take out $ that does not belong to them. I'm just happy that I had the funds in there and it didn't go into overdraft.
