I have to point out that I love my local Mom and Pops, used bookstores, indie bookstores and 40% off coupons! I also love amazon gift cards (LOL!) I paid full price for two of the books, Lynda Barry (bought at Skylight books during her signing) and Tilleke's book which I ordered directly from her).
Starting to prep and plan for my classes at Frenzy Stamper in Scottsdale, AZ next month (next month meaning in a couple of weeks!) I. can't. wait.

Excited today!!! This will be the third time that I've taught my two day, Rejuvenations class. It is one of my most absolutely positively favorite classes to teach. I relish the idea of spending two days working in ONE book with ONE group of students. It's an amazing experience.
Day 1 of my 3 day weekend Teaching Adventure in Fremont. Yes! I can't wait to see what my students come up with today! I'm teaching two classes, my Devotional Journal and a brand, spanking new collage class. I'll try to remember to take some pictures to share.
I'm running around No CA happy as a clam today! Enjoying the No CA atmosphere and weather...wish that the hubby and son were up here with me. I'll be visiting San Francisco and Berkeley today. Can't wait! Teaching tomorrow in Fremont and I'm VERY excited and can't wait!!! This weekend's classes are some of my most favorite and to get to teach them in No CA is a huge bonus!

I fill each large, oversized grabbag with handmade papers, decorative papers, collage "ephemera", color copies, originals, cherished book pages, photos, stickers, transparencies, collage images, etc.. Busy week! Trekking to teach a private class in Palm Desert on Friday. Art Bar on Saturday. Prepping like a loon for my classes next weekend in Niles, CA (still taking sign ups!). Crazy busy! Busy is good, right?
Did I tell you that I'm already finished with this journal and working in a new journal? I'll finish posting this one before I show you the new one. Though I have been known to post teaser pictures on my facebook and twitter feeds every now and then of new pages, work in progress shots, etc... The new journal is an old journal format revamped. I'm VERY excited about it and the many possibilities it holds... I love revisiting old journal ideas and revamping them.
One of those examples where I wish that I had left it alone...but ce la vie. Love the page but don't love the gold heart. Live and learn! :) Don't stress about it. Turn the page and move on.

Recently I ordered a set of "combo reusable produce bags" from Qwerty O on etsy. I LOVE them. I've been using them constantly since they arrived in the mail. I take them with me to the grocery store AND to the farmer's market. I want to order another set and am thinking about giving them some as gifts for Christmas. The bags are made by a 17 year old girl who is saving for college. How cool is that?!
The pink flowers are a template from Crafters Workshop. I love the layers on this page. Lots of patience was required, but it's quite meditative to do.
Remember how I said that the page the other day had a secret? Well, here it is. It folds in on itself. The journal that I am working in now consists of many pages that have hidden valley and mountain folded pages. I folded the pages back and forth as I work. The 140 lb wausau paper takes a beating.

I was very excited to read that Christine Mason Miller was looking for volunteers to sign up as "Book Fairies" in her 100 Books Project. I quickly typed up an email to her, explaining that I would be teaching and traveling a lot this summer and how badly I wanted to volunteer. Christine sweetly sent me a quick reply saying that she would love to have a book left in Santa Fe, NM.
I usually collage the inside cover, but I loved the liner paper too much, so I left it alone but added my contact info "just in case".
